How are you, love?
Celebrating life by breathing love, experience adventures, and share your gifts?
… as you should.
Know that your presence is enough and your being is guided, supported and loved.
It’s been a year since Robert’s passing, the one who passed as the happiest man on earth.
His “going home”surprised us all.
Today, a year ago was Friday when we were told he was going home. All appears signed for his release from the hospital. I remember I texted him and his wife that I am waiting for their signal when they are home so I can go over and cook my best ever chicken soup, a healing, uplifting recipe and continue a very intense and deep conversation I started with Robert on a call 10 days before this changing life event. I remember him telling me: Miha, I like it how deep you go. I have to go now but let’s plan to continue this meaningful conversation.
For now remember:
We don’t know. Nobody knows. All we can do is lean toward that which makes us feel better.”
… and I must tell you all that this is not enough. Another time he told me that life is a choice at every given moment. At every moment we must choose in truth so when we look back at our lives we feel at peace and proud of the choices we made.
How amazing that is. Makes my life so much easier. And now you your life gets easier reading this.
I am telling you, reading Miha you are changing yourself in the best version of your capital S Self.
Enjoy!
… don’t thank me, but remember me.
When you don’t know why you feel so good about yourself and why your life is more beautiful with every day think of my newsletters and say “what a blessing Miha is in my life.”
… for sure you are a blessing in my life without even knowing why. And you don’t have to. Like you don’t have to know how much I love you, but feel the subtle touches I send your way with every word I choose to write on my Substack publications.
One year… is a long time and also no time… just a blink of an eye..
Today, Dr. Reverend Luzette, Robert’s wife, organized a zoom call for us to remeber and celebrate Robert’s life by sharing a gift he left us with.
Fellow coaches. Close clients. People who knew him and loved him. His friend since they were 15 was with us, and his best friend who I was happy to meet and thank him for being a soul support for Robert. I always thought Robert took care of all of us and when I met Hank I knew he was the true care for robert only a best friend can offer.
One by one, we each shared a gift we received from Robert.
Just one… because time on earth is limited.
Listening to everyone, I realized that we all received all these gifts. We each chose one because sharing in the now could never be enough to express everything he gave us. How could we fit years of teachings, experiences, laughter, healing, truth, and transformation into one Zoom call?
All the gifts we shared were individual, yet personal for all of us. Robert left us with a treasure it’s hard to describe… but I assure you that the privilege of knowing Robert is feeling like a gift from heaven.
Robert had that twinkle in his eye that reminded me of Jesus, who was ever present in everything Robert was and everything Robert did.
I took some notes during the call… and I hope to get the ai full version of the call… Today, to mark one year without the physical presence of Robert in my life, I am sharing some of the gifts that filled the zoom call with miracles…
I wrote each gift people shared they got from Robert.
The first line from my notes is:
“Forgive everyone, all the time.”
Yes, we all learnt forgiveness from Robert at the deepest level possible as human beings.
Robert talked about forgiveness, taught forgiveness, and he said this again and again: forgive, forgive, forgive. With Robert’s guidance we learnt not to forgive only when it is easy. Not to forgive only when the other person deserves it or not; only when one apologizes or not… but to forgive everyone. all the time. because forgiveness is not something we give away, it is something we feel within. Forgiveness is not somewhere outside, waiting for someone else to say or do the right thing. Forgiveness is in me. When I forgive I find inner peace.
“Give yourself permission to make mistakes.”
What a gift this is… the permission to be human. To try, to stumble, to learn, to change our minds, and to begin again without turning our mistakes into proof that something is wrong with us, but that we are creative and intelligent.
“There is no failure. There is only feedback.”
When we make mistakes and things don’t work out the way we thought they should, it is not a failure. it is just feedback. What if everything we think we have done wrong is not a failure? What if the result is simply giving us information? Feedback gives us a way to grow, somewhere to go. Failure gives us shame. And we learnt with Robert to live shameless.
“Hardship is the opportunity to grow.”
Robert did not teach us to deny hardship or pretend that it does not hurt. He told us that the only way to a pain-free is through it. We learnt to allow pain to guide us to the bright side of the tunnel. Hardship is an opportunity. Something can grow there. Something can change. Something we did not know about ourselves can become available.
“No inner enemies.”
This one changed everything for all of us. There is no part of me that is against me. Even the part creating pain, fear, resistance, or confusion is loving me. It may be using an old or painful strategy, but its intention is love. To gasp this saves us from getting sick. Feel into it and see it is true.
“Every part of me is loving me.”
Not every part loves me in the way I would consciously choose. Some parts protect me by hiding, controlling, fighting, pleasing, or running away. But when I stop treating them like enemies and become curious about how they are loving me, healing and repair become available. How amazing that is? What miracles can happen when I realize how every single part of me is loving me. Healing.
“Believe in the impossible.”
Luzette told us that Robert believed in the impossible. He did not just said it becasue it sounded good, it’s not surface surfing, it’s deep diving. He believed that something different could become possible even when the person sitting in front of him could not yet imagine it. His genius mind, his world class listening skills, and his believe in the impossible we all made a grange and transformed ourselves into miracle beings.
“I am guilty. I am innocent.”
Dr. Luzette shared something very personal. Robert had written in his notes that she held a belief in being guilty. After his passing, through her journey of grief, she found the belief that she was guilty. She thought she had not done enough, that she had not caught something in time, and that she was somehow guilty for his death.
She used the work Robert taught us and did a conflict integration: I am guilty. I am innocent. Through this own work, she found a way to ease the suffering of believing she should have done more, that she could have saved him.
Dr. Luzette is a brilliant coach, a masterful teacher I am blessed to continue to have her presence in my life. She truly is an inspiration and role model for me. When I grow up I want to be like her.
“Codependence is the cause of all addictions.”
This is an extensive (and expensive) teaching and not something I can write about here, but Robert helped us understand what codependence does to people with a clarity that stayed with us. I used to judge people for their addictions, some I consider stupid habits. Being trained by Roberts we all have learnt to look behind the behavior and see what was truly asking for attention and healing.
“Mental health is easy access to all three perceptual positions.”
We all learned mental health housekeeping from Robert. The definition for mental health is just such a brilliant way to help people stay mentally healthy. Trained by Robert we gained the ability to easily access different positions, different points of view. I can’t give many details, you must pay and be in class to learn this but I had to mention it because who shared this is a Katrina survivor and this simple definition helped her recover from suffering. I trust that what you take from only reading this, it is enough to keep you sane and bright.
We did not mention this in the call but Robert always said: have an opened mind, but not so open that your brains fall out. Why is related to this? Because I feel that if you read this with an open mind without analyzing too much, you get a lot out of it. I know is so.
“Healing is the option to suffering.”
Healing doesn’t happen when we deny suffering. Healing is not pretending we are fine. Healing is an option. When we are present in our suffering we have the option to heal. Dr. Robert always asked: do you want to continue to suffer? It can be an annoying question, but so true. When I decide I do not want to continue to suffer than I find the option for healing. Powerful if you ask me.
“Come home into your body.”
Robert always talked about coming home into the body. Healing is not possible unless we allow ourselves to be in our own bodies, unless we give ourselves permission to feel out feelings and use them as our inner guides to freedom.
“Not telling the truth is fear of what could happen.”
This is the gift I shared. Robert taught me how to tell the truth. I am a honest person, I always told the truth. But when I met Robert I realized that I was actually only being nice, not truthful. Why?! Because we are all taught to be nice first, regardless of the truth within. I realized I was afraid of what could happen if I tell what I am actually thinking, feeling, and wanting. I felt shame and guilt, but Robert with his companionate loving presence he helped me go through it all and feel free. With his guidance I found the freedom I have been chasing for around the world. Today, when I tell the truth I feel fearless. Thank you, Robert.
“Freedom is not in a place. Freedom is within me.”-byMiha
I chased freedom for much of my life. I came to America looking for it only to find out that this country has no freedom. After one of the most important sessions I had with Robert, a Change Belief session, I understood that true freedom is not in a country, a place, or another person, but it lives within me.
That session is personal to me, at least for now. But since that day, I have felt free. I can tell you that I keep feeling the unmeasurable results unfolding still in my life.
“Oh, I apologize for misunderstanding you.”
Someone shared that Robert taught her what a true apology feels like. She told him once that something he had said did not feel right to her. He did not defend himself or explain why she should not feel that way. He simply said, “Oh, I apologize for misunderstanding you.” Simple. Truthful. Healing.
That is how he taught us to take ownership of our words and actions. A true apology does not come from shame. It comes from simplicity and truth
“Robert was a male role model from me. He taught what a healthy man looks like.”
Someone saw in Robert a model for how to be a man. Not the performance of masculinity, but an integrated, healthy man. Yes, Robert was the definition of a true man. How he listened, how he spoke, how he took responsibility, how he guided people, and how he allowed himself to be fully human is inspiring and a legendary example for all the men.
“Ease the suffering of another being.”
He taught us how to ease suffering in others. What a gift… to know how to sit with another human being and help make what feels unbearable become bearable, and even heal the unnecessary suffering.
“Let all the ships go.”
Someone remembered joking with Robert about trying to save the world and put everyone and everything on the saving boat. Robert said, “Let all the ships go.”
We cannot rescue everyone. We cannot carry the entire world. Sometimes love means releasing our grip and allowing every ship to follow its own direction.
“It’s all your fault!”
This was the funniest joke I heard lately. Robert and one of his friends used to say it to each other: “It’s all your fault!”
Get it? Exactly: it is all your fault. All of it. Everything that happens in the world is all your fault. I love laughing remembering Robert… his humor, his playfulness, and the joy of having him for ever present in my energetic field.
“We are beings, not doers.”
Robert taught us that when we separate ourselves from the world for a moment, we can discover who we truly are: beings having a human experience.
We are not here to do.
We are here to be.
This is one of his convictions that saves my sanity, along with all of the other 29 convictions he said he did not know how he came up with them. I know: he was a genius teaching from the temple of wisdom.
“Innocence is infinite.”
This was one is big. As simple as it is, gasping the innocence is a total cure to anll suffering. Knowing that Innocence does not run out, I can reset assure that I am innocent regardless of my mistakes and behaviors. I won’t teach here. I won’t convince you it is true. I only tell you that the convictions of the destination method are lifesaving.
I am innocent.
You are innocent.
She is innocent.
He is innocent.
They are innocent.
We are all innocent.
As I listened to everyone, I realized that Robert was not only a brilliant teacher. He was not only a coach, a mentor, a friend, a husband and everything else in between...
He was a role model for being an authentic human being.
Each person shared one gift, but we all received all the gifts mentioned. We received forgiveness, truth, freedom, permission to make mistakes, a way to come home into our bodies, and the understanding that no part of us is our enemy.
We received so much that one call could never hold it all.
I did not take notes about everything we talked about… because sometimes we are not supposed to take notes. Sometimes we simply listen.
… and listen to my inner voice telling me that all is well and no notes are needed it. When you get to know Robert, even as little years as I did, the inner imprints done by his masterful teachings are in us to stay. As I like to say, bearing coached by Robert not only that I made important changes in my belief system, but my DNA changed too. All my ancestors are healing because I take the time to feel it through for all of us.
Robert is no longer here in his body, but his teachings are alive in ours.
Every time we tell the truth.
Every time we forgive.
Every time we say his name.
We continue his work.
Robert is forever with us, within us to guide us, support us and love us a a saint he is in heaven.
Thank you, Robert.
For every gift you gave us… and for all the limitless gifts we could never count, explain, or fit into words, but will forever feel in our hearts.
